Starting out as a still life painter, Trondsen’s later works include landscapes in the tradition of the Hudson River School but with a more contemporary painting style. These luminous landscapes border on the ethereal mood of the tonalists. He is one of five artists contracted to paint landscapes for the Dutchess Land Concervancy during the year 2001.
