Moe Brooker

Painter Moe Brooker is renowned for his signature cluster of abstract shapes, vibrant colors, and distinct patterns. Inspired by the expressive language in sermons and rhythmic singing from the choir as a minister’s son, he relied on sound and movement when painting. Other major influences on his work included classical and jazz music and his grandmother’s quiltmaking.
