Mickey Williams

Mickey Williams was born in Anchorage, Alaska. When he was ten years old, his family settled on the Isle of Palms, a barrier island off the coast of South Carolina.

Mickey is self-taught and began drawing and painting at an early age. He feels that by growing up in the low country he has had an excellent opportunity to understand and appreciate the landscapes he loves to paint.

His current work focuses on the area known as the Ace Basin. The Ashepoo, Combahee, and Edisto Rivers empty into a vast area of wetlands resulting in one of the world’s most pristine estuaries.
