Korina Marie Moore is a photographer and creative director whose work spans anthropology, politics, and fashion, using storytelling to document people, places, and moments. Her photographs in this exhibition were taken aboard the USS New York and around New York City during Fleet Week 2026, capturing portraits and unscripted moments of service members. Moore states, “These photographs provide an intimate perspective on the extraordinary men and women who serve our country…The collection highlights not only a more personal perspective of the individuals, it also holds a tribute to the often unseen courage and unsung heroes.”

Jessica Reed Kraus is the founder and publisher of House Inhabit, one of the nation’s leading independent news publications on Substack. Known for immersive, firsthand reporting, JRK has built a loyal readership by taking audiences beyond the headlines and inside the stories shaping American culture, politics, and public life.
Jessica and Korina spent three days embedded aboard a U.S. Navy vessel during Fleet Week as part of the Navy’s 250th Birthday celebration. Living alongside sailors, touring the ship, participating in daily operations, and documenting life at sea, they offered readers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the people and traditions that sustain America’s maritime force. Rather than focusing solely on military hardware, Jessica’s reporting and Korina’s photography illuminated the human side of service—capturing the discipline, camaraderie, sacrifice, and sense of purpose that define life in the Navy while exploring the institution’s enduring role in American history and national defense.
The assignment became one of House Inhabit’s most distinctive long-form features, blending immersive storytelling with historical perspective. Beyond military reporting, JRK has covered presidential campaigns, major criminal trials, and the White House, earning a reputation for independent journalism rooted in firsthand observation, primary-source reporting, and exceptional access. Her work continues to demonstrate how independent media can provide readers with a deeper, more nuanced understanding of the people and institutions shaping the national conversation.
