Joe Fitzgerald is a fifth generation Washingtonian with Irish roots. From an early age he was attracted to visual images and decided as a child to become an artist. Having exhibited extensively in the Washington area, Fitzgerald has shown at the Studio Gallery, Franz Bader Gallery and at Galerie Ingrid Cooper. Juried shows have included the Salmagundi Club 8th National Show in New York and the Brandeis Exhibition. His work is in numerous corporate and private collections including the Art in Embassies program. Mists and Shadows: Pastels and Oils of the West of Ireland is his third solo exhibition at Foxhall Gallery.
