Scott LoBaido is best known for his large-scale American flag paintings and live painting performances, reflecting on the nation’s history and honoring the service members who have sacrificed in its defense. For more than three decades, his practice has examined themes of patriotism, freedom, unity, and national identity. His work Forever, a 104 × 204-inch oil-on-canvas American flag, was painted before a large public audience at the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., in commemoration of America’s 250th anniversary.
