In commemoration of Military Family Month, the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Art in Embassies (AIE) proudly announces the “Serving Abroad…Through Their Eyes” photography exhibition, which will be featured on Verizon Center’s video marquees.

In recognition of AIE’s 50th anniversary, the U.S. Department of State collaborated with the U.S. Department of Defense on a photography project featuring photographs taken by active military, Foreign Service, and Civil Service personnel while serving abroad. This project depicts images of friendship, places, faces, loss, and triumph, providing a glimpse into the complex, diverse, and courageous work performed by America’s heroes throughout the world.

These images will be on display in 30-second spots beginning Veterans Day, November 11, and ending November 30.

Verizon Center’s exterior marquees provide still and full-motion signage with varied content ranging from public service announcements to community and arena events to building sponsors and game highlights for the Capitals, Mystics, and Wizards.
