“Art is my life! I feel alive when I’m creating, whether it be an art quilt, painting, or doll,” says mixed-media artist Gwendolyn Aqui-Brooks. Much of the inspiration for her paintings, art quilts, one-of-a-kind soft sculpture dolls, and works on paper comes from her travels to places like Brazil, Turkey, Greece, Venice, West Africa, and Trinidad and Tobago.
