Annie Rose Macer

Annie Rose Macer is a self-taught artist with an acute interest in pattern-making. A lifelong artist, Annie Rose developed an understanding of pattern and color as a child by creating intricate mandalas.

Annie Rose’s work explores things that bring her happiness such as flowers, animals, and different kinds of lines. Over the past year, her art practice has expanded from painting and drawing into collage-work. She has become well-known for her large-scale “paper quilts” which reflect organic materials, landscapes, and symbols of significance.

Originally from Central America, this exhibition has special significance to Annie Rose who now lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
