Adelcio Guainora is a painter whose work reflects his indigenous Emberá culture and the province of Darién in eastern Panama, where he grew up. He notes, “I draw inspiration from nature because it is part of my childhood. The colorful landscapes travel through light, color, and dreams—they are nothing more than the memories of my childhood through time.”
