Michael Hodowal was born in Florida and is mostly self taught. Based on studies of the old masters and 19th century American landscape painting, he has developed an artistic style with delicate brushwork and subtle palette in which he develops a mystical atmosphere of the American landscape.
Hodowal has exhibited widely in recent years: 1997, Broward Art Guild; 2000, The Society of the Four Arts 62nd Annual National Exhibition of Contemporary American Painters; 2002 Same Society’s 64th Annual National Exhibition; 2004, Honorable Mention-16th Annual art show/ Arthur R. Marshall National Wildlife Refuge.
