Virgil Norberg was an American folk artist known for his painted metal sculptures and weather vanes. A skilled welder, he “decided to build a weather vane. I didn’t have anything to do…I was trying to get out of…the factories.” His first piece was God breathing life in to Adam, and other early works followed the biblical theme.
