“Painting, for me, is my life. I cannot imagine not painting. I try to see beyond the usual, painting the essence of a place, seeing it as no one else has. I hope to convey to the viewer the feeling I have about it through my painting. I have been painting on Monhegan Island for many years and could spend the rest of my life painting there. No other place does it for me.”
