Growing up in a beach community has lead the way to providing me with the right setting in becoming a lover of nature. Each evening, moisture off of the ocean gave the sky a special glow of soft pastel blues and pinks. There were wildflowers along the beach dunes and washed up treasures from the ocean. I would ride my bike out to the farm fields and paint the landscape, horses and fence posts. These interests continued throughout my life, leading me to study at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY for a BFA in Painting. I continued my art education at the Rhode Island School of Design for a Certificate in Natural Science Illustration and most recently at the Art Student’s League of New York to study the human anatomy. My work has been shown in many major institutions such as the Newport Art Museum, RI, the Audubon Society of RI and Greenwich, Conn., the Longwood Gardens, PA, and the Brooklyn and New York Botanical Garden.
