Lora Shelley

Shelley received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design, Providence, Rhode Island. She spent a year abroad in the distinguished European honors program of R.I.S.D. She is known for her provocative “diner series” — as well as unusual perspectives and mixed media textures. Her honest portrayal of women is at once both personal and universal.

Shelley has participated in numerous solo exhibitions, most recently with the Woodstock Artists Association, Woodstock, and the Coffey Gallery, Kingston, Half Moon Studio/Gallery, Saugerties, all in New York, and the B.Beamesderfer Gallery, Highland Park, New Jersey. Selected awards include The Woodstock Artists Association’s Annual Print Award and the Rudolph Galleries Award.
