Stefanelli received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1989, she lives and works in New York. Her work is based on her experiences as an ice skater. The edge she is painting has the same lyrical line that was cut into the ice when she was skating. Stefanelli’s use of surface and line reference calligraphy and ornamental patterning.
