Lee Somers

Lee Somers is an Assistant Professor of Art and instructor of Three Dimensional Design at the University of Montevallo. He received the Master of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics in 2006 and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1999 from Alfred University School of Art and Design in Alfred, New York.

Somers works in ceramics and mixed media to explore a variety of interests in geology, landscape, material culture, and architecture. His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in galleries and museums, most recently at the Fort Collins Lincoln Center in Colorado, and the Seattle Design Center in Washington. He has shown in several cities in China, including Beijing, where he lived and worked for several years.
