Jeana Sohn was born and raised in South Korea and currently live and work in Los Angeles. I studied graphic design in Seoul and animation at CalArts.
My work is inspired by nature and various mythologies. I want to express my love of nature in my paintings, hopefully in a poetic way. I try to capture the most silent moments from the scenes I am describing — like snapshots of the most still moments from scenes. My goal is to deliver a feeling of suspended energy and emotion with my paintings.
