Janice Lessman Moss

Janice Lessman-Moss’s art practice focuses on the interconnectedness of abstract systems rooted in the common binary language of the computer and the loom. Her digitally composed networks of patterns are informed by the architecture of the weaving process combined with an intuitive sense of order and improvisation. “The constructions I make are intended to mark a poetic place along our shared continuum,” she said. “Using weaving to exercise the metaphors inherent in the process, I acknowledge the timeless and universal interest in creating patterns and seeking order.”
