James D Walker

Whenever photographer Jim Walker takes a picture, his “eyes and brain see so much more than a camera can.” Each photograph is the outcome of the challenge to “capture the best image, then convert that camera image by using the available image processing tools. The finished product will resonate with some and not others, but it will always be a result of [the artist’s] imagination and skill.” His photographs depict Washington, D.C., in various seasons and times of day, and they celebrate cultural and historically significant sites such as the Lincoln Memorial; the United States Capitol; the Washington Monument; the Martin Luther King, Jr., Memorial; and the Library of Congress.
