Hong Hao

Hong Hao (1965 Beijing) is a well-known conceptual photographer who is now widely recognized for her series called “My Things.” The photographs are almost puzzle like images of personal belongings and objects scanned into small boxes. He is also known for his self-portraits of him as a businessman or intellectual with blond hair and blue eyes. Curators say his images challenge orthodoxy and are commentaries on the changes reshaping modern China. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1989. He lives and works in Beijing now.
