Eric Hopkins

With broad strokes, simplified forms, and bright colors, painter and glassblower Eric Hopkins captures the dynamic forces and rhythms of nature. He seeks to convey a sense of immediacy, distilling his subjects to their abstract, evocative essence. Hopkins credits his childhood on North Haven, a small island off the coast of Maine, for his creative inspiration. Hopkins recalls, “My world view consisted of roaming the woods, fields, shorelines and exploring the edges where land, water, and sky meet.”
