Donna Phipps Stout’s luminous still lifes evoke a sense of crystalline mystery. Her traditional representations are unusual in that instead of being artfully arranged, the objects in her paintings are in disheveled non-arrangements, as if some kind of previous social interaction took place at these tables.
Donna Phipps Stout received her B.A. from Georgetown College and her M.F.A. from Indiana University. She has been represented in over sixty solo and group exhibitions in the United States and Europe and was honored with a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
