Christina McPhee

Christina McPhee is an international media and visual artist based in San Francisco and the central coast of California. She has shown at Documenta 12 (2007), Bucharest Biennial 3 (2008), Art Cologne OpenSpace (2008,2009), FIAC Paris (2010). Her interactive cinema work is in the collections of the Whitney Museum new media project Artport, Thresholds New Media Collection (Scotland); Rose Goldsen Archive at Cornell University (New York), Experimental Television Center (New York). Solo museum exhibitions include American University Museum, Washington, DC and Bildmuseet, Sweden. Christina’s most recent writing appears in HZ Journal Stockholm; and in CTHEORY, Documenta 12 Magazine Project, and -empyre- soft-skinned space (Sydney/New York) where she was moderator/curator from 2001 to 2009. Her forthcoming drawing and video project SHED will debut in 2011 as a performance cinema installation at -emptycube- Lisbon, and as a drawing exhibition at Silverman Gallery San Francisco in 2011-12. A solo show of her Teorema drawings is an installation at Cara and Cabezas, a new project space and gallery in Kansas City.
