Look beneath the surface, life is a sumptuous layering of emotions, complexities, hardships, triumphs, and wonders. I am often accused of asking too many questions about life -where do we go, what do we become, who do we love, and why do we make the choices we make?

I create my abstract paintings to try and explore these questions, sometimes with more questions. I am inspired by the harmony and juxtaposition of color and texture in nature, just as I am fascinated with the tension found in the unpredictable flow of life. I seek to layer mystery and movement by using shape, color, and texture mixed with the poetry of fluidity, the complexity of struggle, and the joy of beauty to evoke an emotion of spirit.
