Carol Brown

Carol Brown attended Cornell University, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1957, and continued her studies at the Art Students League, New York City; the Brooklyn Museum Art School, New York; and the Hans Hofmann School, New York City. In 1994, she received an Individual Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Her work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Korn Gallery, Drew University, Madison, New Jersey (1999); The Little Gallery, Ithaca, New York (1994); as well as being included in many group exhibitions such as Animals, at the Gallery of Graphic Arts, New York City (2001); and Animal Tales, at The Whitney Museum of American Art, Champion Plaza, Stanford, Connecticut (1998).
